Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Quality Analyst (Tester) to support testing activities for critical applications. This role involves creating test cases, executing tests, validating results, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience testing Java applications, database systems, and exposure to mainframe environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and develop detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases
Perform testing for Java applications on distributed platforms
Execute test program changes, update test files, run tests, and validate results
Identify, log, and track defects using Jira
Perform data validation using Postgres and DB2 (queries and verification)
Prepare program-level and user-level documentation
Collaborate with teams to meet testing goals and tight deadlines with transparency
Required Skills & Experience
5 years of experience testing Java applications
Strong experience with DB2 and Postgres databases
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Hands-on experience writing and executing test cases and integration testing
Strong troubleshooting, testing, and debugging skills
Experience preparing comprehensive technical and user documentation
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and user sign-off
Ability to follow source control, migration, and deployment procedures
Strong analytical skills for data validation and reporting
