Role: Multimedia Designer
Location: Jackson, MI (Onsite)
Job Description:
The Multimedia Designer will support the External Communications team by performing the following duties:
Create brand-aligned graphics and visual assets for social media and digital platforms using Adobe Creative Suite
Develop and manage a proactive social media content calendar and assist in digital communications
Perform website updates and content entry via CMS tools such as Drupal, ensuring accessibility and accuracy
Provide on-site photography and videography for events, including basic editing and optimization
Apply design principles (typography, layout, color theory) to maintain consistent branding across platforms
Required Skills/Experience:
1–3 years of experience in graphic design, digital media, or related field
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Experience in photography and videography with basic editing skills
Experience working with CMS platforms for website updates
Experience managing social media content calendars
Strong understanding of design fundamentals (typography, layout, color theory)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
Hands-on experience with Drupal CMS
Familiarity with motion graphics tools like After Effects or Premiere Pro
Experience in public sector or non-profit communications
Experience with tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Airtable
Ability to simplify complex information into clear, user-friendly content
