Job Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, offices, and other assigned areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility.
- Empty trash and proper disposal of waste according to facility procedures.
- Replenish housekeeping and restroom supplies as needed.
- Safely operate housekeeping equipment and properly use cleaning chemicals and PPE.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Prepare resident rooms for new admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Respond promptly to spills, environmental hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Maintain clean, organized housekeeping carts, closets, equipment, and supply areas.
- Respect resident privacy, dignity, belongings, and personal space while performing assigned duties.
- Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or resident concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Complete assigned cleaning schedules, checklists, and other required documentation.
- Perform deep cleaning and other housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Knowledge and understanding on how to properly use cleaning chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets.
- Use proper safety equipment and tools to identify safety hazards and abide by community’s safety policies and procedures.
- Previous experience in laundry operations preferred.
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial laundry experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy.
