Job Requirements:
- Audits accounts and account records for all receivables for the facility.
- Assures revenue and related accounts receivable are booked correctly.
- Prepares and audits private statements, assures they are correct and back up documentation supports billing, sends statements, and works with resident to receive payments.
- Performs collection duties, including but not limited to statements, letters, and phone calls.
- Receives and posts payments on accounts receivable.
- Audits accounts to ensure Secondary Insurance is loaded to RCM system to guarantee timely billing and adjustments per CMS guidelines
- Reconciles Operating Cash with corporate office
- Monitors accounts receivable and advises supervisors of delinquent receivables or other account irregularities.
- Works with Reimbursement Manager on all outstanding A/R, on referrals to attorneys, Collection Agency, and takes approved claims to Small Claims court representing the facility.
- Communicates with Central Billing, Insurance Companies, and Medicare and relays Coinsurance information to residents/families to ensure collection of all CoPays, CoInsurance, and deductibles.
- Assists facilities when Business Office Manager position is vacant
- Maintain Federal and State compliance with all regulations
- Business degree with minimum of 9 hours of accounting
- Working knowledge of common office machines is necessary
- Computer literacy required with emphasis on high level working knowledge of Excel
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
