Position Purpose:
This position exists to support the Worship Minister through high-level coordination, scheduling, and communication, ensuring the weekly worship ministry operates with excellence and consistency. Additionally, this role provides leadership in building and developing worship teams across multiple ministries—beginning with SGY (students), and expanding over time to include SG Kids (4th–5th grade) and The Porch. The Worship Associate helps create well-prepared worship environments by organizing people, systems, schedules, communication, and leadership pipelines that align with Stonegate Fellowship's mission and vision.
Role Basics | Responsibilities and Expectations:
Worship Ministry Coordination & Scheduling
• Oversee all scheduling for Worship Arts using Planning Center.
• Ensure all positions are filled for Sunday services and special events.
• Send out monthly schedules, reminders, block-out date requests, and follow-up communication.
• Coordinate Servant Leader scheduling with the Worship Minister.
Communication & Administrative Support
- Serve as the central communication hub for the Worship Arts team.
- Track and follow up on all volunteer communication.
- Provide weekly task coordination for the worship ministry.
- Manage receipt coding, budget tracking, and simple analysis.
- Respond to worship support needs from other ministries.
- Attend weekly department tactical meetings.
CHURCH-WIDE WORSHIP SUPPORT
- Support Sunday worship leadership.
- Assist in planning and leading rehearsals.
- Help execute special events such as conferences, staff gatherings, weddings, funerals, and seasonal services.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide worship leadership support and team development across SGY, The Porch, and SG Kids, with primary emphasis on SGY. Responsibilities focus on developing volunteers, strengthening worship teams, and ensuring ministry environments are prepared and well-supported. Worship leading will occur as needed based on ministry demands.
This includes:
SGY (Highest Priority): Oversee and support SGY worship environments; equip student worship leaders for rehearsals, scheduling, and service preparation; recruit and mentor musicians, vocalists, and tech volunteers; assist with worship leadership as needed; support worship at camps, retreats, and major student events.
The Porch (Next Priority): Provide acoustic worship leadership as needed; support volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and development; help create simple, meaningful, relational worship experiences.
SG Kids (Emerging Priority): Launch and support a preteen worship environment (4th–5th grade); recruit and train a small volunteer band; gradually empower volunteers to take ownership of weekly worship leadership, providing direct leadership only as needed.
Minimum Work and Education:
High school diploma or GED, with some college or post-high school training/certification
3-5 years experience leading worship teams, planning, preparing and leading worship services in a large church setting
Skills:

Time Requirement:
This is a part time role. Hours include some weekends and evenings and will vary based on seasonal ministry events.
