Job Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Seasonal Landscape Maintenance Worker is responsible for assisting with the upkeep, maintenance, and overall appearance of the club's grounds and facilities. This role involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions and supports the continued safety, functionality, and visual appeal of Stonegate Country Club.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular landscaping duties including planting, watering, pruning, mowing, edging, weeding, raking, and leaf removal
- Maintain flowerbeds, shrubs, trees, and lawn areas to ensure a neat appearance
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems; adjust or report issues as needed
- Assist with grounds tasks such as mulching, fertilizing, seeding, and storm cleanup
- Operate light landscaping equipment safely, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as painting, minor carpentry, and basic equipment or irrigation repairs
- Remove trash and debris and support general grounds cleanliness
- Clean, maintain, and properly store tools and equipment after use
- Follow all safety procedures and promptly report hazards or maintenance concerns
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Qualifications
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Applicants must be available to work schedule determined by the Maintenance Manager
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Prior landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently once trained
- Good verbal communication skills

- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- This position works for extended periods of time outdoors, in various environmental conditions with exposure to heat, often over 100 degrees, sun, noise, dust, smoke and pollens
- Requires the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk frequently, lift and/or move objects from 20 lbs. to over 100 lbs.
- Perform simple and power grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation
- Verbal and hearing skills to effectively communicate
- Visual ability to maintain a safe environment
General Requirement
- Reports to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with Stonegate Country Club appearance standards

- Professional communication abilities when interacting/directing staff, members, guests, and vendors to build relationships
- Able to consistently perform tasks with little to no direct supervision
