Duties
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction.
- Support carpentry activities including framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roof installation.
- Prepare and install concrete forms, pour concrete, and perform finishing work such as smoothing surfaces and applying sealants like caulking or stucco.
- Conduct demolition or renovation tasks as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to ensure a secure environment for everyone on site.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating concrete mixers, pumps, heavy equipment, and other construction machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and interpret construction plans accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in masonry, framing, roofing, tile laying, flooring installation, and plastering.
- Experience working on diverse construction projects including restoration or renovation work; familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is a plus.
- Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on precision tasks like concrete finishing or tile laying.
- Valid driver’s license
