Duties
- Lead and coordinate moving crews to load, unload, and transport items safely and efficiently
- Operate various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and manual handling tools to assist with heavy lifting
- Drive box trucks or personal vehicles for local delivery routes, ensuring adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws
- Manage route driving, including planning optimal paths and ensuring timely deliveries
- Load and unload items carefully using safe lifting practices, manual handling techniques, and proper equipment operation
- Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, inventory, and safety checks using mobile devices or other digital tools
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation
- Previous delivery driver experience with a focus on safe driving practices and route management
- Experience operating a box truck or commercial truck driving with manual transmission is preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and commercial vehicle operation
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely while following safe lifting practices
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with courier or
driver roles is advantageous - Comfortable working in physically demanding environments involving manual handling, heavy lifting, and moving tasks
