Pay Range: $14/HR

Job Summary: The Greenskeeper is responsible for the daily maintenance and care of the golf course grounds, including turf, bunkers, greens, and landscaping. This role plays a critical part in preserving the playability, appearance, and overall quality of the course to ensure an exceptional guest experience for golfers.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and rough areas using mowers, trimmers, and hand tools
• Water turf and landscaped areas as directed, operating irrigation systems and hoses to maintain proper course conditions
• Rake bunkers, repair ball marks, and replace divots to maintain course aesthetics and playability
• Assist in the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments under supervision and in accordance with safety guidelines
• Operate utility vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently to transport tools and materials
• Follow all safety and operational procedures when using tools, machinery, and chemicals
• Assist with course setup including hole placements, tee markers, and signage based on daily schedules
• Perform general landscaping duties such as trimming, pruning, weeding, and debris removal
• Monitor course conditions and promptly report any issues with turf, irrigation, or hazards to supervisors
• Support special projects such as aeration, overseeding, or storm cleanup as needed

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:

• Previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping preferred
• Basic understanding of turf care, mowing patterns, and safe equipment operation
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and complete tasks with attention to detail
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including early mornings
• Dependable, team-oriented, and physically capable of manual labor for extended periods
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and operate landscaping tools and machinery
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on location
  
  

Work Environment:

• Work is performed almost entirely outdoors, in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required throughout the shift
• Exposure to chemicals, fertilizers, equipment noise, and moving mechanical parts
• Early morning schedule required, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts based on course needs
