Duties
- Operate dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools according to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly to meet sanitation standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients when needed.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and removing used dishware promptly during service hours.
- Follow proper manual handling techniques to lift heavy items safely and prevent injuries.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
- Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key.
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and basic food prep tools safely.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during shifts.
