The Pricing Specialist is a high-impact contributor who executes pricing strategy, works with internal and external data to lead the end-to-end pricing process to drive competitive positioning, margin performance, and revenue growth.
Role Purpose
- Lead and optimize the pricing process across contractual freight
- Deliver profitable, data-driven pricing decisions aligned to market conditions and operational realities
- Drive pricing consistency, performance, and continuous improvement
- Develop strong understanding of the “why” behind pricing decisions, with the ability to connect market dynamics, operational realities, and profitability
- Generate solutions with the ability to navigate complexity, and recommend practical outcomes
- Ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders to align on common goals
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end pricing process, including RFPs, bid activity, and solution design
- Assist development of and execute pricing strategies, target rates, and margin standards
- Analyze market trends, win/loss data, and pricing performance to drive improvements
- Partner cross functionally to align pricing with capacity and customer needs
- Identify and pursue revenue and margin optimization opportunities
- Work with Sales and account teams to summarize our strategy to our shippers
- Maintain and improve pricing data, reporting, and process consistency
- Be the voice of reason as it relates to commitments and risk
- Retain and upload our pricing events within our data lake

- Data accuracy and reporting quality
- Revenue and load growth influenced by pricing
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in pricing, logistics, or 3PL operations
- Strong expertise in freight markets, pricing strategy, and cost structures
- Strong understanding of freight characteristics and service variables imposed by our shippers, carriers and seasonality.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- High level of comfort and familiarity with external rate sources
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Competitive spirit with a drive to support profitable growth and market competitiveness
Reporting
- Reports to the CFO
Compensation
- Base Salary: $65,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience. Performance bonus eligible, full benefits package (medical, retirement) included.
