What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL A 2nd shift Switcher position at Stone Transport?
Job Description:
Switcher is responsible to monitor chutes and trailer weights. Loading clip/busheling into 5 and 6 axle dump trailers ensuring trailers are loaded to Indiana shipping weight per permits. Maintain clean workspace. Communicate with second shift on production rate. This position will require alot of Saturdays with Sundays as needed. Will be working with current staff to rotate with every 3rd weekend off and covering 12 hour shifts on weekends on call.
Shift will be Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm; expect FREQUENT weekend work.
Equipment:
- Heavy Duty Tractors/Trailers 18 speed Manual
- 5-6 axle dump trailer
- Work assigned schedule
- Work overtime, including weekends
- Pass a pre-employment backgrounds checks
- Parking in Jonesville, MI
- must live within 30 minutes of parking
Experience:
- MIMIMUM 1 year CDL Class A driving experience REQUIRED
- End dump experience HIGHLY PREFERRED
Full-Time Year Around Work
Pay Structure:
- Hourly Pay OT after 40
- Weekly Paychecks
