Overview
We are seeking a reliable, dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in a passion for guest services and a strong ability to create memorable dining experiences. We are looking for somebody who loves the craft of service and is willing to put in the extra time and effort needed to refine their craft.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders using the Toast POS system, ensuring all guest requests are noted.
- Observe orders and double check for accuracy
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while maintaining proper food handling standards.
- Ensure guest satisfaction with every meal and make necessary corrections when needed.
- Process payments using cash registers, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas before and after service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant required.
- Familiarity with guest services principles and practices.
- Experience with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of culinary terms and food handling practices is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced atmosphere while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
