Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality espresso beverages and coffee, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the cafe team during your shift, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, coffee, and teas
- Operate coffee brewing equipment and espresso machines
- Follow recipes and presentation standards consistently
- Handle cash and credit card transactions using Toast system
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including the espresso bar, counters, and seating areas
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Assist in opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous barista or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Manual dexterity for operating coffee equipment
