Stone Ridge Christian School is seeking a dedicated, Christ-centered Middle School History/Social Science Teacher to serve students in grades 6–8. The ideal candidate will plan, organize, and deliver a comprehensive History-Social Science curriculum while establishing a classroom environment that fosters academic excellence, spiritual growth, critical thinking, civic responsibility, and biblical worldview integration. The teacher will encourage students to recognize God's sovereignty throughout history, appreciate diverse cultures and civilizations, and develop the necessary skills to become informed, compassionate, and engaged citizens. Personal Qualifications: Be deeply committed to a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ. Spend time daily in personal devotions and prayer. Follow Matthew 18 Principle in dealing with student-athletes, coaches, faculty, parents and administration. Motivate students to accept God’s gift of salvation and to grow in their faith. To implement curriculum for students through the lens of faith, bringing faith to life in real and meaningful ways. To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students in their educational passions while growing stronger in their Christian faith. To facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to develop their unique God-given potential. To contribute to raising standards of student achievement. Demonstrate the ability to accept and carry out responsibilities and make competent, professional decisions. Work collaboratively with various staff. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, vendors, contractors, stakeholders and the Board.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited postsecondary institution. Credential/Certification: Valid California State Teacher Credential and/or ACSI K-12 certification, OR a willingness to complete certification requirements within a specified timeline. Experience & Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of the California History-Social Science Standards and Frameworks, along with effective instructional strategies for middle school students. Spiritual Requirements: Must show strong personal, moral, spiritual, and leadership qualities, and be a member in good standing of an evangelical Christian church. Technical Skills: Computer literacy, including proficiency with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, email, and instructional technology.
