High School Science Teacher Position Description Overview Stone Ridge Christian is a Pre-K-12 school with a tradition of faith and excellence in Merced, County, CA. We are seeking a High School Science teacher who will build upon the existing mission and standards of the School. The teacher creates a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fosters the academic and social development of students, and collaborates with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support Stone Ridge Christian’s (SRC) mission and goals. The Science Teacher reports to the Campus Administrator. Personal Qualifications: Be deeply committed to a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ. Spend time daily in personal devotions and prayer. Follow Matthew 18 Principle in dealing with student-athletes, coaches, faculty, parents and administration. Motivate students to accept God’s gift of salvation and to grow in their faith. To implement curriculum for students through the lens of faith, bringing faith to life in real and meaningful ways. To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students in their educational passions while growing stronger in their Christian faith. To facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to develop their unique God-given potential. To contribute to raising standards of student achievement. Demonstrate the ability to accept and carry out responsibilities and make competent, professional decisions. Work collaboratively with various staff. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, vendors, contractors, stakeholders and the Board. Professional Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Design and develop curriculum materials for Science courses that integrate both academic standards and Christian principles.
