Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation.
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment, wiring, schematics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and electrical systems using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting—including residential painting—and mechanical repairs to maintain the property’s aesthetic and structural integrity.
- Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and other mechanical devices through inspections and repairs aligned with safety standards.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, inventory levels of maintenance supplies, and repair histories.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects involving schematics interpretation, electrical work, plumbing repairs, or building interior upgrades.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident requests for repairs or maintenance issues while ensuring clear communication throughout the process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Skilled in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, welding, carpentry, and painting.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to operate hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, ohmmeters, and other maintenance instruments safely and effectively.
- Experience working with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) procedures within manufacturing or residential settings.
- Strong understanding of building interior maintenance standards including HVAC systems and plumbing.
- Supervising or leadership experience is a plus; capable of guiding junior team members when needed.
- Excellent communication skills in English to facilitate clear documentation and resident interactions.
