The Role:
We are open to candidates ranging from recently barred associates through experienced senior litigators and partner-level hires. This role can be fully remote within California (for senior-level candidates) or tied to the San Diego or Walnut Creek offices.
The firm handles complex insurance defense matters, including trucking, premises liability, and general liability cases. We’re looking for attorneys who are confident managing files, drafting discovery and motions, participating in depositions, and engaging with clients and carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage or support insurance defense cases from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Conduct or assist with depositions and hearings
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and claims professionals
- Contribute to trial prep and strategy
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- California Bar admission required
- 1-15 years of post-bar litigation experience
- Insurance defense experience required for senior-level candidates
- Trucking or transportation exposure required for senior-level candidates
- Deposition experience required
- First-chair trial experience is a plus
- Comfort managing files with limited supervision
- Strong writing and motion practice skills
