Job Summary
Servers are responsible for providing exceptional service to all customers by taking orders for food and drinks, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that guests have an amazing experience.
- Greets customers as they are seated; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
- Answers questions regarding the menu and present daily specials.
- Accurately take and deliver food and drink orders in a timely manner.
- Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
- Collects plates and clears the table during and after the customers visit.
- Prepares customers’ checks and properly collects payments.
- Completes all cleaning and side work duties that are needed and/or assigned.
Workplace Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Well-organized with ability to take and place food and drink orders accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative guests.
- Ability to effectively operate point-of-sale systems.
- Must be 18 years of age at the time of hire and eligible to work in the United States.
- Availability to work morning, weekend and evening shifts.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from the restaurant.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be able to complete orders quickly and accurately using effective communication skills.
- Ability to push, pull, and carry items that can be between 10-30 pounds.
