Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in San Marcos, TX, for a Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive care to patients, including performing physical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests for all ages. Responsibilities also include providing education and counseling to patients, prescribing medications, and ensuring effective communication with other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding urgent care services.
Qualifications
- Expertise in performing physical exams, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans
- Skilled in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and lab results
- Ability to prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Excellent patient communication, education, and counseling skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and documentation
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
- BLS/ACLS certification (required)
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine is a plus
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
