Stone Creek Outdoor Living
Location: McAlester, Oklahoma
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Stone Creek Outdoor Living is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Hardscape & Landscape Crew Foreman to lead one of our field crews.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who has experience managing employees in an outdoor construction, landscaping, hardscaping, masonry, or similar environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading a 3–4 person crew, assigning daily tasks, maintaining productivity, solving problems in the field, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Stone Creek’s quality standards.
We are looking for someone who can do more than perform the work themselves. This position requires someone who can lead people, organize a jobsite, communicate expectations clearly, hold employees accountable, and keep a project moving from start to finish.
Our projects may include landscaping, hardscaping, retaining walls, pavers, drainage projects, outdoor living installations, masonry-related work, site preparation, and other residential or commercial outdoor construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Crew Foreman will be responsible for supervising and working alongside a small field crew while helping ensure jobs are completed correctly, safely, and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
· Lead and supervise a field crew of approximately 3–4 employees
· Provide clear daily direction and assign work based on the project scope
· Maintain crew productivity and keep employees focused and on task
· Work alongside the crew while also overseeing the overall jobsite
· Review project plans, work orders, measurements, and instructions before and during installation
· Ensure projects are completed according to plans, customer expectations, and company quality standards
· Oversee hardscape and landscape installations
· Assist with and oversee masonry-related work when required
· Help construct or install retaining walls, pavers, stonework, drainage systems, landscape beds, and other outdoor living features
· Verify materials, tools, and equipment needed for each project
· Communicate material shortages, equipment problems, delays, or project concerns to management
· Coordinate crew activities to keep projects on schedule
· Monitor workmanship and correct problems before they become larger issues
· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
· Ensure employees follow company safety procedures
· Enforce proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment
· Monitor the condition of company tools and equipment
· Assist with loading and unloading materials
· Communicate professionally with customers when necessary
· Provide management with updates regarding project progress
· Notify management before making significant changes to an approved project plan
· Help train and develop less-experienced crew members
· Address minor performance or behavior issues within the crew and communicate larger concerns to management
· Take responsibility for the overall performance and organization of the crew during the workday
Leadership Expectations
Leadership experience is one of the most important qualifications for this position.
The person in this role must be comfortable:
· Giving employees clear instructions
· Delegating work appropriately
· Keeping employees productive throughout the day
· Correcting poor-quality work when necessary
· Holding crew members accountable for attendance, effort, safety, and workmanship
· Resolving routine jobsite problems without needing constant supervision
· Maintaining professionalism even during stressful or demanding projects
· Setting the pace and work ethic for the crew
· Communicating effectively with management
· Knowing when a decision can be made in the field and when management needs to be contacted
We are looking for someone employees can respect and follow — someone who is willing to work hard alongside the crew while still maintaining the authority and responsibility of a foreman.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have:
· Previous experience as a crew leader, foreman, supervisor, lead installer, or similar leadership position
