Rate: $21/hour
Stone Cottage Care Center is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager / Dietary Supervisor to lead our dietary services department in our skilled nursing facility in Sigourney, IA. This is a full-time, working manager role, meaning the individual will both supervise the department and actively work alongside the team as a cook or dietary aide. Weekend availability is required.
Position Overview
The Dietary Supervisor/Manager is responsible for overseeing daily dietary operations while directly supporting meal preparation and service. This role ensures residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the dietary department
Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate dietary staff
Actively work as a cook or dietary aide as needed
Prepare meals according to planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders
Ensure approved food substitutions only
Review resident care plans to ensure dietary and nutritional needs are met
Provide nutrition support in collaboration with a registered dietitian
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team
Participate in weekend coverage as required
Qualifications
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required or actively in the process of obtaining certification
Previous long-term care dietary experience preferred
Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
Ability to perform hands-on dietary duties
