Stone Bridge Iron & Steel is looking Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team!
Summary
Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs machinery, fork trucks, overhead cranes, automotive and physical structures in industrial establishment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs highly diversified duties to install, repair and maintain production machines, fork trucks. cranes & delivery vehicles.
Ability to diagnose and repair electro mechanical issues, diesel, pneumatic and hydraulics.
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, period inspections and preventive maintenance of forklifts, industrial machinery, cranes, welders, and vehicles.
Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty equipment and be proactive on repairs & report these and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), technical school education; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiar with overhead cranes, fabrication procedures, and machine setup.
Use of hand tools, grinders, welders & cranes.
Ability to fabricate parts and supports as needed using shop tools and welders.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read tape measure.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, aerial work and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
