What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building and Grounds Worker position at Stone Bridge Iron & Steel Inc.?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleans plant break, locker and rest rooms daily and other work areas as needed.
- Sweeps and mops floors
- Cleans lighting fixtures, replaces light bulbs.
- Cleans furniture and equipment.
- Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Keeps yard area maintained including; mowing, trimming, snow removal, trash pick up.
- Transfers supplies to appropriate areas after they are delivered.
- Wash and detail delivery vehicles.
- Refueling of kerosene heaters during cold months.
- Minor deliveries to job sites when needed.
- Painting various areas.
- Performs small engine and building maintenance and repairs.
- Perform other duties as needed to support production schedule.
Qualifications:
- Six months to one year experience.
- Clean valid Class D license.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Must be available to work overtime.
