Ag Transfer LLC (“the Company”) owns and operates a grain transload facility in Minneapolis, MN as well as Elwood, IL and Charleston, SC where the Yard receives and transfloads bulk grain products into inter-modal shipping containers, preparing the products for export to Asia . At the facility located in NE Minneapolis, the team operates hostlers and semi-trucks used for the daily operations within the yard.

Ag Transfer is looking for an experienced Yard Driver/Spotter, experienced operating a Hostler and can hook/unhook/move tractor-trailers safely. Able to commit to early start time of 6:30am Mon-Fri. Job Description

The Yard Driver will operate yard trucks (hostlers) to hook, move and position tractor-trailers holding 40' shipping containers for the loading process at our facility. Yard Drivers will be responsible for accurately documenting container numbers and weights, assist with the unloading process of inbound hopper trucks, and work well as part of a small team to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines.

Additional responsibilities may include tasks such as installing cardboard bulkheads prior to loading containers, maintaining proper inventories of supplies, and upkeeping facility grounds. Employees will be expected to learn and follow safety policies and procedures at all times.

This is a full-time position with overtime options. Early morning start time, day shift Monday through Friday.

Job Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Must have a valid driver’s "Class D" license. CDL is NOT required but is a plus.

· Hostler experience needed, 2 years of experience operating yard trucks (Hostler or Yard Dog), and maneuvering tractor-trailers. Related experience such as Forklift operation or related driving may be considered.

· Eager to master operating a Hostler to back-up yard trailers into position.

· Follow all safety practices and adherence to safety policies and procedures of the facility.

· Show a willingness to be cross trained in all functions on the team.

· Basic data entry skills; able to accurately document container numbers.

· Good interpersonal communication skills.

· Work well in a fast-paced environment with dependability, great attendance.

· Must be able to physically climb up and down transloading equipment and ladders safely.

· Ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb, and maintain balance throughout the day.

· Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, including snow, rain, and sub-freezing temperatures.

· Ability to carry fifty (50) pounds.

· Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Compensation & Benefits
