Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and making change
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special dietary needs or requests
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and wine pairings to provide expert recommendations
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is advantageous
- Experience with food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Background in hospitality roles such as host/host or bussing can be beneficial
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences and maximize sales potential
