Job Summary
This role offers the opportunity to shape the voice of one of Oregon's leading wine companies while working across multiple brands, departments, and industry partners to tell meaningful stories that drive business results. The communications specialist is responsible for executing Stoller Wine Group's public relations and internal communications strategy, drawing upon both creative and data-driven insights to communicate the company's vision and strengthen our family of brands. Through thoughtful, calendar-driven communications, the role develops compelling narratives that maximize earned media coverage and wine scores while building long-term brand value. Responsibilities include leading media relations, developing internal communications that foster employee engagement and organizational alignment, overseeing promotional materials, expanding consumer and trade visibility, measuring campaign performance, and supporting digital communications and special projects
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public relations and communications strategies that increase brand awareness and earned media coverage.
- Serve as the primary media contact by writing press releases, pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and building relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Manage internal communications to keep employees informed and engaged through newsletters and company updates.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, hospitality, and leadership teams to support campaigns, product launches, and company initiatives.
- Coordinate communications projects and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure timely, consistent messaging.
- Monitor media coverage, campaign performance, customer feedback, and brand sentiment to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Represent the company at industry events and help strengthen trade and consumer relationships.
- Ensure all communications align with Stoller Wine Group's brand voice, messaging, and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, media relations, or a related role.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with media, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience measuring communications performance and using data to improve results.
- Passion for storytelling, brand building, and creating meaningful employee and customer engagement.
