Responsibilities
- Fabricate wax rims, base plates, complete dentures, partial dentures, overdentures, and other prosthetic devices dependent of skill level.
- Collaborate closely with dentists to interpret prescriptions, dental impressions, and medical records to ensure accurate appliance creation.
- Perform detailed laboratory procedures including wax-up, casting, finishing, polishing, and fitting of dentures.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all fabrication processes to ensure patient safety.
Experience
- Proven experience in dental laboratory work or as a Denture Technician with a strong understanding of dental terminology, and anatomy knowledge are a bonus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of infection control standards specific to dental laboratories and clinical settings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with dental professionals regarding treatment plans and technical specifications.
- Certification or training in dental assisting or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; however, familiarity with pediatrics or specialized patient populations is a plus.
