CNC Milling Specialist — Precision Components (North Canton, OH)

A day in the life

At 4:30 PM, you step onto the shop floor in North Canton ready to build the first part of the night. You review the work order, study the blueprint, load and verify the program, and set tooling and work offsets. A careful first-article check confirms the setup, and you kick off production while keeping a sharp eye on quality and machine performance. You log production data, fine-tune feeds and speeds, and collaborate with teammates to keep the line moving smoothly. When issues surface, you troubleshoot quickly, perform routine maintenance, and escalate anything unusual. Before clocking out at 3:00 AM, you document results, tidy the area, and prep the next job.

What you’ll do

• Set up and run CNC milling machines per technical drawings and specifications.
• Continuously monitor operations to ensure parts meet precision and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders accurately.
• Partner with teammates to improve processes, reduce cycle time, and boost throughput.
• Maintain a safe, orderly work area aligned with company policies.
• Record production data and promptly report any deviations or issues to leadership.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; machining certificate/technical training preferred.
• Demonstrated CNC machining experience with a focus on milling.
• Working knowledge of CNC programming and G-code.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and technical documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear communicator and collaborative team player.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required.

Work schedule

• Monday - Thursday
• 4:30PM - 3:00AM
• Daily overtime, anything over 8 hours
• $2.00 hour shift differential
