We are seeking a high-energy, experienced Public Outreach / Public Involvement Specialist to join our growing Baltimore team. This is a full-time, long-term position for a communications professional who thrives on storytelling and client collaboration.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Development: Collaborate with our creative team to brainstorm and develop compelling narrative concepts.
Storytelling: Write original, engaging content for newsletters, brochures, and informational packages.
Brand Stewardship: Oversee design elements to ensure all project materials align with client brand standards and expectations.
Media Relations: Draft professional, AP-style press releases and coordinate with team members for distribution.
Digital Management: Maintain and update project websites with fresh stories, high-quality images, and real-time updates.
Client Relations: Partner directly with clients to develop, track, and produce high-impact outreach materials.
5 years of experience in public outreach, public involvement, or professional communications.
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Local Presence: Must live/work in the Baltimore Metro area for frequent local client meetings.
Mobility: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
Writing Mastery: Exceptional writing and editing skills with strict AP Style proficiency.
Project Management: Proven experience managing content production timelines and deadlines.
Graphics & Tech Experience (A Plus):
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Experience with Website Content Management Systems (CMS).
