Stockton Nursing Center is looking for a passionate, patient-focused, Physical Therapist Assistant, to act as the patient’s partner throughout the trip of restoring motion and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best. You will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will be team oriented and have the ability to work in a fun, fast paced environment with our close knit therapy team.

Stockton, CA is conveniently located to San Francisco, Sacramento, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe. Stockton is home to both San Joaquin Delta College and the University of the Pacific. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Education and Experience
Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
Minimum one (1) year experience working with adults in a health care setting preferred

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform required duties.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Bi-lingual skills welcome

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must hold current and active license or registration in state employed
Completion of orientation required by company policy.
Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.

Physical Demands

Frequently assist patients with exercises.
Must be able to rapidly assist in the evacuation of all residents from the building in case of emergency.
