Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dining Room Server/Banquet Server with experience in formal dining service to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services by knowing our menu and wine selections inside and out. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and a commitment to food safety and quality.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly explaining daily specials and answering any questions about the menu items.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are noted.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet events, including arranging tables, chairs, and linens as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper handling techniques during preparation and service.
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide accurate information to guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality.
- Experience in banquet serving or catering is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to health regulations regarding food preparation and service.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.30 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
