What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Stockmen's Hotel and Casino, LLC?
Position Summary: Serve food and beverage to guest in a timely, efficient, courteous and knowledgeable manner using the Company’s Practices.
Essential Functions:
1. Inform the immediate supervisor of any product shortages and equipment needs.
2. Work cards are to be on your person at all times during shift. Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with alcohol awareness training.
3. Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image that reflects the Company’s best practices.
4. Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so. Comply with Board of Health Standards.
5. Must maintain the Company’s personal grooming and uniform standard per your position and the Company’s policies.
6. Have knowledge where your SDS booklet is located in your area.
7. Display knowledge of all emergency procedures.
8. Must have complete knowledge of all food and beverage items including but not limited to ingredients and daily specials and pricing.
9. The ability to use suggestive up-selling (i.e., desserts, appetizers, beverages, etc.).
10. Follow the Company’s 4 steps of Service in taking customer’s order and accurately input into the P.O.S. system. Serve the table completely, observing guest position and the Company’s standards of service.
11. Observe and anticipate guest’s needs, keeping beverages filled throughout their meals according to training.
12. Maintain ownership of the table’s cleanliness and overall appearance.
13. Complete assigned side-work and any additional task with a manner of Teamwork.
14. Present check for payment in a timely manner after dinner and return promptly when tendered.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must manage time effectively with minimum supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guest(s), co-workers and management, in English, both in written and verbal form.
- Ability to make quick judgment decisions.
- Required adherence to all company and department policies and procedures as well as all the Company’s Practices.
- Must be able to handle a flexible schedule
- Ability to work with the desired level of detailed service and attentiveness.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must possess strong teamwork skills as well as to act independently in high-energy and diverse environment.
- Always keep all current required work cards on your person during your shift
Physical Requirements:
1. Must be capable of lifting 50 Lbs.
2. Requires the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, bend or reach to a height of six (6) feet.
3. Requires normal, corrected vision. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols.
4. Requires eye/hand coordination. Requires regular and predictable attendance. Requires good verbal communication skills.
Work Conditions: Work is typically in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, indoor and/or outdoor beverage service. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3-ft. access. Tasks performed from a non-sitting position. Team members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of an assigned area. Work entails chemical usage. Constant contact with staff and customer.
Salary : $12 - $13
