Local straight truck Driver/ Yardman
Main Primary Location-Sunrise Beach
Newer Equipment, All Automatic
Home Every Night
Summary: Safely operate a commercial vehicle. Also safely assist with the loading and unloading of the vehicle. Yard organization and forklift work. Materials Yard Organization, loading of customers, bobcat operations, light mowing and weeding and yard clean up.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
As a Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will pre-trip your equipment before every run to ensure all mechanical, safety and emergency components are in good working order. You will also maintain logs of working hours as well as any vehicle service or repair statuses.
Additional responsibilities for the Class A CDL Truck Driver includes:
- Securing cargo for transport
- Obtaining receipts and signatures for delivered goods
- Reporting all equipment defects or damage as well as accidents and traffic violations
- Verifying delivery instructions and routes
- Complying with all state, federal and company regulations
- Forklift operations and some storage yard work
As a Class A CDL Truck Driver, you must be a strong verbal communicator as you will be in contact with internal dispatch personnel as well as customer representatives. You must also be able to pass a drug test, DOT physical and background evaluation
Additional requirements of the Class A CDL Truck Driver include:
- Minimum 24 months of commercial driving experience
- Possess a CDL in your state or residence
- Meet minimum eligibility requirements
- Ability to lift 80 pounds
