Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload trucks using various heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track inventory movement accurately.
- Assist with order picking and materials handling to prepare shipments for dispatch or storage.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting to move products within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper shipping and receiving procedures are followed in compliance with OSHA safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and updates in the warehouse system.
- Support warehouse supervisors by adhering to safety standards, managing equipment operation, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles.
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, crane, clamp truck, pallet jack, and material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including inventory management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Ability to perform order picking using
pickers or similar tools efficiently. - Strong understanding of safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards and mechanical knowledge of equipment.
- Capable of performing manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and data entry accuracy.
- Construction or mechanical experience is a plus for understanding equipment maintenance or repairs.
