Job functions:
Be responsible and accountable for all operational aspects of the store
Ensure highest level of Customer Service within the store
Ensure financial goals are achieved
Adhere to company policies and procedures, also ensure compliance by the team
Be an ambassador of the brand and instill the Stockdale's Vision, Mission, Core Values and culture in the entire team
Recruit, interview, hire, develop, coach and train store associates
Follow loss prevention practices
Ensure associates time is spent effectively
Maintain store appearance to standards
Resolve customer issues effectively and timely
Must have excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Able to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
BS Degree in Business or four to six years of related experience or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Must have at least two years of store management experience plus one year of supervisory experience
Proven track record of building and leading effective teams from recruiting through retention
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Strong background in payroll planning and scheduling
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Must have a current Driver's license
While performing the duties of this job, the person is regularly required to talk or hear. The person is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The person is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and taste or smell. The person must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
Excellent retail business acumen including selling skills, visual presentation and sales analysis
Up-to-date computer skills with aptitude to learn and utilize business programs and the ability to teach these programs to the team
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handles boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth above
Physical strength to reach, move and handle merchandise in high and low areas and the stamina to execute floor sets.
