We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records and medical histories.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Utilize Open Dental for efficient record management.
- Conduct vital signs assessments as needed before procedures.
- Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment, including 3D scanners.
- Experience with general dentistry practices as well as specialized fields such as prosthodontics and endodontics is preferred.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable, along with knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Understanding of medical coding and documentation processes is a plus.

Pay: $18.31 - $23.89 per hour
