Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of tractor-trailers.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving and ensure the safe transportation of goods.
- Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize fuel efficiency.
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and deliveries made.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing the transportation of goods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
