Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Sales Consultant role based in Brentwood, TN. The Sales Consultant will welcome customers to the showroom, actively listen to their needs, and guide them through furniture and décor selections that align with their style, budget, and lifestyle. Daily responsibilities include presenting product features and benefits, preparing quotes, processing sales transactions, and following up on open orders or design proposals. The role involves maintaining a visually appealing showroom, ensuring merchandise is well-presented, and staying current on new product lines, custom options, and promotions. The Sales Consultant will collaborate closely with design and store teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience, meet or exceed sales goals, and support store events or client appointments as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales Consulting and Consulting skills to understand client needs, propose solutions, and close sales in a consultative, relationship-driven manner.
- Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction capabilities, with a focus on building trust, managing expectations, and ensuring a positive showroom and post-sale experience.
- Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal communication, and professional written follow-up with clients and teammates.
- Interest in or experience with home furnishings, interior design, or retail sales.
- Ability to work on-site in Brentwood, TN, including weekends, evenings, and peak retail hours as needed.
- Proficiency with basic POS systems, order entry, and email; comfort learning new software tools.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple clients and tasks in a fast-paced showroom environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in design, merchandising, or a related field is a plus.
- $18/hour with unlimited, Quarterly Commissions paid
