Senior Project Engineer

Position Summary
Specifically need experience in the Semi Conductor Field and installation/move of complex manufacturing tools.
This new project near the nexus of the Treasure Valley Tech area will be erecting, not only the new workspace, but the installation of production equipmtet. The Engineer provides technical, administrative, and field leadership for large-scale semiconductor construction projects in Boise, Idaho. Working closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent, this position is responsible for coordinating engineering activities, subcontractor management, procurement, document control, scheduling support, quality assurance, cost control, and project reporting to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering and construction activities between the owner, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, specifications, and project document control.
- Prepare, negotiate, and administer purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Track procurement activities, material deliveries, and long-lead equipment.
- Assist with project budgeting, cost forecasting, pay applications, and change management.
- Support project scheduling, look-ahead planning, and milestone tracking.
- Work closely with the Superintendent to resolve field issues and improve project efficiency.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and project turnover requirements.
- Maintain project logs, reports, meeting minutes, and progress documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project safety, quality, environmental, and cleanroom standards.
- Participate in owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Assist with project closeout, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and final documentation.
- Mentor Project Engineers and Junior Project Engineers while promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.
- Minimum 7 years of commercial, industrial, or semiconductor construction experience, with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, contracts, scheduling, procurement, and project controls.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors on technically complex projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Software Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Project. Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Primavera P6, and construction cost management software is preferred.
Work Environment
This position is based in a project office in Boise, Idaho, with frequent visits to an active semiconductor construction site. Compliance with all project safety, security, quality, and cleanroom protocols is required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk active construction sites, climb stairs and ladders, wear required PPE, work at a computer for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, with overtime, evenings, and weekends as required to meet project schedules and milestones.
Key Expectations
The Senior Project Engineer is expected to provide leadership, maintain accurate project documentation, proactively resolve technical and construction issues, support the Project Manager and Superintendent, and contribute to the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of high-quality semiconductor construction projects.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
