What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Administrator II position at STM Associates?
STM Associates has been retained by an energy company to find a Network Administrator II for their office located in Farmington, New Mexico*
*This is an onsite position, so candidates must either currently live in the area or be willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is available.
PURPOSE
Provide independent, mid-level administration, support, and enhancement of the enterprise network infrastructure.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and connectivity across multiple sites.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and upgrade of network systems, circuits, and services under the guidance of senior staff.
- Support redundancy, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies for network services.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security using enterprise monitoring and logging tools; review and analyze logs as required.
- Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and change records.
- Work with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot network circuits, hardware, and services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) is required
- 3-5 years of experience supporting enterprise network environments
- Working knowledge of routing, switching, firewall administration, and VPN technologies
- Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, or comparable vendors
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN, WLAN, remote access, and network security concepts
