Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator with industrial insulation experience to join our team. This role involves welding, metal fabrication. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Welding & Fabrication Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various gauges of metal, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, P&IDs, and layout diagrams
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components to specification
- Cut, grind, and prepare materials using hand tools, power tools, torches, and plasma cutters
- Install and repair structural supports, platforms, piping systems, and metal frameworks
- Perform grinding, insulating, painting, and assembly tasks as needed
- Accurately use measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and squares
- Maintain productivity standards while ensuring high-quality workmanship
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain strong situational awareness in industrial environments
Insulation Duties
- Measure, cut, and install industrial insulation materials such as fiberglass, mineral wool, calcium silicate, and elastomeric foam
- Install insulation on piping, tanks, vessels, and ductwork to control temperature and improve energy efficiency
- Apply weatherproof jacketing and protective sealants for outdoor and corrosive environments
- Remove and replace damaged or outdated insulation materials
- Ensure all installations meet applicable codes, safety standards, and project specifications
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Knowledge of OSHA and industry safety standards
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions
Preferred
- 2–5 years of welding/fabrication and industrial insulation experience
- Experience as a Welder/Fabricator and/or Industrial Insulator
- Welding program diploma or related technical training
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Knowledge of metallurgy and industrial insulation best practices
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
