Mechanical Assembly Lead
Neenah, WI | $21–$30/hr | Full-Time | Direct Hire
About the Role
This role is responsible for assembling conveyor systems and related mechanical equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with internal teams to build high-quality equipment while supporting overall production goals.
This position is hands-on and focused on mechanical assembly. You will lead by example on the floor, working alongside team members while helping guide daily work to keep projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support 1–3 mechanical assemblers on daily tasks
- Assemble conveyor systems and related mechanical equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work
- Work with internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support team-based problem solving to improve processes
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a related industry (conveyors, packaging, heavy truck, OEMs, or similar)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or on a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work at least 40 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the conveyor industry
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
