STL Engineers is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support QA/QC field inspection activities on a large construction project in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate has hands-on field inspection experience and is comfortable monitoring construction activities for compliance with quality requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily field inspections and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with quality, performance, specifications, and applicable code requirements.
- Identify and document field observations and quality-related issues.
- Participate in punch list activities, testing, and commissioning.
- Track quality assurance progress and maintain supporting documentation.
- Provide input and documentation for area and equipment turnover.
- Use experience and professional judgment to manage field responsibilities and project deadlines.
- Provide on-the-job guidance to newer employees as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of experience in construction inspection, QA/QC, or a related field role.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
