What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Baker position at Stir It Up?
The Lead Baker is responsible for specialized bakery products that require a moderate to greater skill level. We are a completely from scratch kitchen.
Our normal items include:
Various desserts sold in house and to a couple of local restaurants, fruit and savory pies, cookies, muffins and other breakfast baked goods, scones, pop tarts, and custom items required for catered events.
Recipes are already set by the owner. There will be room for your own creativity after some time of acclimation to the current recipes.
The Lead Baker is responsible for managing inventory levels and alerting the Chef as to when items are low and soon to be needed. Must be able to communicate and lead.
Typically the shift starts at 3 am (hours are negotiable depending on schedule demands) Days of work: Tues, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday year round. Saturdays are added on in the spring through the Fall.
Baking for, loading up, working and breaking down Farmers Markets on Fridays & Saturdays are part of the job June, July and August
