What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Inspections Technician position at Sting Alarm?
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on Fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge) and Fire alarm systems and detection devices
- Verify system functionality and ensure compliance with NFPA 25, NFPA 72, and local codes.
- Identify, document, and report system deficiencies or repairs needed.
- Prepare and submit accurate inspection reports and repair recommendations.
- Communicate clearly with customers about findings, required corrections, and follow-up service.
- Coordinate with internal service and sales teams for quotes and repair scheduling.
- Maintain inspection equipment, tools, and company vehicle in excellent condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and promote Sting Alarm’s reputation for excellence.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience inspecting fire sprinkler and/or fire alarm systems.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 25 and NFPA 72 standards.
- Nevada 'G' Card required, and Nevada 'F' Card preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections per day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
