Role Description
Sting Alarm is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Designer to join our team on-site in Las Vegas, NV. The Fire Alarm Designer will be responsible for creating detailed fire alarm system designs, reviewing blueprints, preparing submittal packages, and ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations. The role involves performing calculations for alarm systems, collaborating with engineers and contractors, and providing technical support during system installations. The designer will manage project deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with fire alarm system design software such as CAD and an understanding of industry-specific codes and standards (e.g., NFPA).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to fire safety systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for managing project deadlines and deliverables.
- Team collaboration and effective communication skills to coordinate with engineers, contractors, and team members.
- Knowledge of local and national fire safety regulations is a must.
- Professional certifications such as NICET or equivalent are preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in designing fire alarm systems is highly desirable.
