Join our team as a Temporary Christmas Tree Merchandiser and help spread holiday cheer while making some extra money this season. This short-term role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying active, and getting into the festive spirit.
We are seeking a Seasonal Christmas Tree Merchandiser to help create a festive and welcoming shopping experience during the holiday season. The merchandiser will be responsible for displaying and maintaining Christmas trees and holiday plant material in Home Depot Garden centers, ensuring product quality, and providing excellent customer service.
Schedule:
This temporary/seasonal position requires availability for the following weekends:
- November 28 (Black Friday)
- November 29 – November 30
- December 5 – December 7
- December 12 – December 14
- December 19 – December 21
Hours:
- Friday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
This role may service more than one Home Depot location. Each shift will be 6-8 hours in length. Applicants must be available for all listed dates to be considered.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure good communication with customers, employees and management.
- Must be tolerant, tactful, cheerful, sincere, polite, honest, encouraging and accommodating.
- Have the ability to assist customers in choosing fresh cut Christmas trees.
- Keeping the nursery area clean, neat and organized.
- This would include removing trash, sweeping walks, etc.
- Assist with unwrapping, pricing and displaying Christmas trees in nursery area.
- Willingness to do duties assigned by your supervisor or management personnel.
- It is mandatory that all employees obey safety rules and exercise caution in all their activities.
- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Time Requirements:
- Must be able to work days, evenings and on weekends.
- Must be able to work the Friday after Thanksgiving (mandatory)
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift heavy objects. (Up to 50 lbs.)
- Must be able to work on your feet for long periods. (Up to 6-8 hours)
- Must be able to work in all outside conditions.
