We are seeking an experienced Lead Installation Technician to become a key member of our growing team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with customers, solving technical challenges, leading projects in the field, and taking pride in delivering high-quality results.
Position Summary
This is a working field position.
The Lead Installation Technician will be responsible for personally performing and leading residential elevator installations, service calls, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while helping guide and develop other field personnel.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes ownership of their work, and leads by example. The successful candidate will be expected to perform installation and service work daily while serving as the primary field leader for installation quality, project execution, customer satisfaction, and technical support.

Responsibilities
Installation
- Lead and perform residential elevator installations from start to finish.
- Read and interpret installation drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Ensure installations are completed safely, accurately, and to company standards.
- Coordinate with homeowners, contractors, electricians, inspectors, and other trades as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
- Conduct final quality inspections before project completion.
Service & Technical Support
- Perform service calls, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
- Identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Support warranty and post-installation service needs.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting.
Project Coordination
- Manage day-to-day jobsite activities.
- Work directly with the Project Manager, Office Manager, and Construction Manager to coordinate scheduling, project readiness, customer communication, and overall project execution.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and ready for each project.
- Anticipate challenges and resolve issues before they impact project timelines.
- Communicate professionally with customers throughout the installation process.
Team Leadership
- Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and quality workmanship.
- Assist with training and mentoring installation personnel.
- Support a culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and customer service.
- Help establish and maintain installation best practices and procedures.
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
- Assist with inventory management and material tracking.
- Help maintain warehouse organization and tool accountability.
- Ensure company vehicles are stocked, organized, and ready for deployment.
- Coordinate material needs for upcoming projects.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a lead installer, service technician, elevator technician, field technician, or similar role.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading, training, or managing others.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience performing technical field service work.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background screening and drug screening.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in residential construction environments.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and basic computer software.
Preferred
- Some college coursework or technical education.
- CC Elevator Safety License.
- Experience within the residential elevator industry.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, or lift systems.
- Construction knowledge or experience in residential construction.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Inventory and warehouse experience.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.
- Resides locally within Broward, Palm Beach, or Miami-Dade County.
Training will be provided for qualified candidates. While experience in the residential elevator industry is preferred, we welcome applicants from related technical, mechanical, electrical, construction, and field service backgrounds who demonstrate strong leadership, professionalism, technical aptitude, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
