What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emissions Technician position at Stilly's Automotive, LLC?
Stilly's Automotive, LLC is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Emissions Technician / Janitorial team member to join our automotive service facility.
No previous experience is required. We will train the right person. The ideal candidate is reliable, willing to learn, comfortable working with customers, and able to perform both emissions inspection duties and general cleaning and janitorial responsibilities.
ResponsibilitiesEmissions & Automotive Duties
- Perform Connecticut vehicle emissions inspections after completing required training and certification.
- Learn to operate emissions testing equipment and computer systems.
- Verify vehicle information and accurately enter inspection data.
- Explain inspection procedures and results to customers.
- Follow all Connecticut emissions inspection procedures and facility policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area.
Janitorial & Facility Duties
- Clean and maintain the inspection area, waiting area, offices, bathrooms, and other facility areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors.
- Empty trash and recycling containers.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and common areas.
- Dust, wipe down, and maintain work surfaces.
- Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies.
- Keep the property clean, neat, and presentable throughout the workday.
- Assist with snow, leaves, and other basic exterior cleanup as needed.
- Perform other general maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- No experience necessary — we will train.
- Reliable and dependable attendance is required.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Good customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable performing physical cleaning and janitorial tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform routine cleaning duties.
- Valid driver's license.
Schedule
Monday–Saturday
Candidates must be available to work Saturdays. Specific daily hours will be discussed during the interview.
